Palestinian MP Sameera Al-Halaika of Hamas’s parliamentary bloc in the PLC has warned Friday that the Israeli schemes to destroy the Aqsa Mosque were in their final stages, adding that the Arab and Muslim silence sends the wrong message to the IOA.

She also deplored the “state of death” that engulfs the Arab and Muslim world and the clear indifference they demonstrated towards the holy Muslim shrine, explaining that the organized Israeli ethnic cleansing program of the Arab and Muslim presence in the occupied city of Jerusalem was going on unopposed and reached the final stages.

In this regard, the legislator called on the Arab and Muslim nations and officials to end their inexplicable silence and urged them to sincerely stand beside their Muslim and Arab brothers in occupied Jerusalem who, according to Halaika, face monstrous cancer that works day and night to diminish the Palestinian presence in the city either through demolishing their homes or through confiscating and canceling of their residency IDs among other illegal practices with the aim to change the demography of the city in favor of the Jews.

Halaika’s remarks came after the Aqsa foundation for heritage and endowment exposed new Israeli excavations, including two tunnels and two elevators near the western part of the Mosque in order to link Al-Magharba gate with Al-Buraq plaza, and to make storming the Mosque an easy job.

Yehuda Glick is a 44-year-old American-born Jew who spends most of every day preparing for the arrival of the Messiah in Jerusalem.

Since he became the executive director of the Temple Institute, Mr Glick's main task has been to supervise the manufacture of the utensils the high priests will need when the day arrives. Crowns and other instruments made of solid gold fill glass cases in the Temple Institute museum in Jerusalem's Old City. Other artefacts include an array of copper urns, trumpets made of silver and garments to be worn by the High Priest, woven from golden thread. Musical instruments, including hand-made harps and lyres, lie ready to be brought to life upon the Messiah's appearance.

So, when can we expect this momentous event?

"That is a very good question," Mr Glick told the Herald. "All that we know is that we are now living in the age of miracles and all of those miracles are predicted in the Book as happening on the eve of the end of days. It could well be tomorrow, but it might be another 100 years, or even 400 years."

We were in the Quarter Cafe in the Jewish sector of Jerusalem's Old City, high on an embankment that overlooks the most contested religious site on Earth. Jews call it the Temple Mount, or Mount Moriah, and believe it to be the site of the Foundation Stone, the Holy of Holies from where God gathered the dust to create Adam.

Muslims call it Haram al-Sharif, or the Noble Sanctuary, and believe it to be the third-holiest site in Islam, from where the prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven.

To Jews the Temple Mount is also the site of the first temple built by King Solomon. After it was destroyed, a second temple was built about 500BC, and stood for 500 years before the Romans destroyed it. Their religion holds that a third temple will be built upon the arrival of the Messiah.

"That is why we have engaged two architects," Mr Glick said. "It will be a modern building, with car parks and elevators, but it will look very much like the Second Temple."

The Temple Institute museum contains a large-scale model of what the Third Temple will look like, with its main building set to reach a height of 60 metres. Today, the Temple Mount is dominated by the al-Aqsa Mosque and the gold-topped Dome of the Rock.

"Al-Aqsa can stay," Mr Glick said, pointing to the mosque. "It's not even on the Temple Mount proper. But we intend to just build over the Dome of the Rock. We might be able to find a way to include it in the Third Temple."

Mr Glick envisages a house of prayer open to all believers in the monotheistic faiths, Christians, Muslims or Jews.

The Temple Institute has become a fixture on American evangelical tours of Israel. Thanks largely to their donations, it has so far spent $US27 million ($29 million) on preparations.

"We started with $US100," Mr Glick said. "There are 70 million evangelical Christians around the world, and most of them have become Israel's strongest supporters."

Ordinarily, Israel prevents Jews from visiting the Temple Mount. It so sensitive an area that when the then Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon visited, accompanied by hundreds of Israeli riot police, in 2000, it sparked a wave of violence that came to be known as the second intifada, or uprising.

"This 'Temple Institute' is a right-wing extremist movement interested in nothing more than provocation," said Khatem Abdel Kaber, the Palestinian Authority minister in charge of Jerusalem affairs. "We will vigorously defend our right to manage this site. No amount of insulting behaviour from these people will succeed in removing us."

West Bank rabbi: Jews can kill Gentiles who threaten Israel

Just weeks after the arrest of alleged Jewish terrorist, Yaakov Teitel, a West Bank rabbi on Monday released a book giving Jews permission to kill Gentiles who threaten Israel.

Rabbi Yitzhak Shapiro, who heads the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva in the Yitzhar settlement, wrote in his book "The King's Torah" that even babies and children can be killed if they pose a threat to the nation.

Shapiro based the majority of his teachings on passages quoted from the Bible, to which he adds his opinions and beliefs.
 
"It is permissable to kill the Righteous among Nations even if they are not responsible for the threatening situation," he wrote, adding: "If we kill a Gentile who has sinned or has violated one of the seven commandments - because we care about the commandments - there is nothing wrong with the murder."

Several prominent rabbis, including Rabbi Yithak Ginzburg and Rabbi Yaakov Yosef, have recommended the book to their students and followers.

Bill Clinton visits Al-Aqsa compound

Jerusalem – Ma'an – Former US President Bill Clinton visited the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock on Sunday, sources said.

The visit surprised officials, however, as neither media nor the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Endowments were informed in advance.

"It seems it was a special visit," said Azzam Al-Khatib, director of Jerusalem's endowments office. Israeli forces suddenly imposed a number of strict security measures, and then half an hour later, Clinton entered from the Moroccan Gate, he added.

The US Consulate opted not to inform officials of the visit ahead of time as they usually do, Al-Khatib said. A spokeswoman for the consulate told Ma'an that Clinton's visit to Jerusalem was personal and thus not coordinated with the Americans.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that Clinton visited the Western Wall, as well. Clinton prayed and placed a note at the Jewish holy site, according to these reports.

Clinton was in the region attending the Saban Forum, a conference on US-Israel relations.

According to them Chiram Abiff was murdered and then raised by the Master Mason with the "strong grip of a Lion's Paw." Ateret Cohanim also known as Ateret Yerushalyim, is a Religious Zionist yeshiva (Rabbinical School) located in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. The organization is dedicated to helping Israeli Jews return to live in East Jerusalem and particularly to live in the Muslim quarters in the Old City so as to "Judaize" that area.

Who is Irving Moskowitz? A retired doctor of internal medicine who strongly supports Jewish organizations seeking to strengthen Israel's sovereignty in Jerusalem. He has given at least $2.5 million to American Friends of Ateret Cohanim, a group dedicated to rebuilding the destroyed temple, where (Al Aqsa) stands today.

The Israel Lands Administration (ILA) is working together with the Ateret Cohanim association to wrest from Palestinian landowners control of 30 dunams (7.5 acres) of land in East Jerusalem and to transfer it to the association without a tender. U.S. group invests tax-free millions in East Jerusalem land

American Friends of Ateret Cohanim, a nonprofit organization that sends millions of shekels worth of donations to Israel every year for clearly political purposes, such as buying Arab properties in East Jerusalem, is registered in the United States as an organization that funds educational institutes in Israel.

The U.S. tax code enables nonprofits to receive tax-exempt status if they engage in educational, charitable, religious or scientific activity. However, such organizations are forbidden to engage in any political activity. The latter is broadly defined as any action, even the promotion of certain ideas, that could have a political impact. Financing land purchases in East Jerusalem would, therefore, seem to violate the organization's tax-exempt status.

Daniel Luria, chief fund-raiser for Ateret Cohanim in Israel, told Haaretz Sunday that the American organization's registration as an educational entity stemmed from tax considerations. "We are an umbrella organization that engages in redeeming land," he said. "Our [fund-raising] activity in New York goes solely toward land redemption."

Although Ateret Cohanim also operates a yeshiva (Rabbinical School), Ateret Yerushalayim, in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City, fund-raising for the yeshiva is handled by a different organization: American Friends of Yeshivat Ateret Yerushalayim."

American Friends of Ateret Cohanim was founded in New York in 1987. Like all tax-exempt organizations, it must file detailed annual returns with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. An examination of them reveals that the organization describes its "primary exempt purpose" as: "[to] provide funding for higher educational institutes in Israel."

"That's because of the tax issue," Luria said, explaining that due to American law, the American Friends organization "has to be connected in some fashion with educational matters." He also estimated that 60 percent of Ateret Cohanim's money is raised in the U.S.

The Friends organization's most recent return, filed in 2008 for fiscal 2007, shows that it raised $2.1 million in donations that year. Of this, $1.6 million was transferred to Ateret Cohanim in Israel.

In its IRS returns, American Friends of Ateret Cohanim said its purpose is to "promote," "publicize" and "raise funds for" Ateret Cohanim institutions in Israel. These institutions, it continued, "encourage and promote study and observance of Jewish religious traditions and culture."

In reality, Ateret Cohanim in Israel focuses mainly on purchasing Arab property in East Jerusalem. Since its founding in the 1970s, it has bought dozens of Arab buildings for Jews to reside in. Just this April, for instance, it moved Jewish families into an Arab house it purchased in the Muslim Quarter.

One noteworthy donor to its Friends organization is casino magnate Irving Moskowitz, a well-known supporter of rightist causes, who also owns the Shepherd Hotel in East Jerusalem. That hotel made headlines recently when Moskowitz obtained a permit to build 20 apartments for Jews there, sparking angry protests from the U.S. government. http://bit.ly/gsc1O

Palestinian guards foil attack against Al-Aqsa

RAMALLAH: Palestinian security forces have foiled a lone Jewish gunman’s attempt to infiltrate Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday. They believe his intention was to massacre worshipers in the compound.

Hatim Abdulqader, who is in charge of the Jerusalem portfolio in the Fatah movement, told Arab News the guards succeeded in stopping the gunman as he went up the stairs of a building adjacent to the mosque. He added security forces are working round the clock to foil any Israeli attacks against the mosque.

The Al Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage said the man was handed over to Israeli police, who later claimed he was mad. He has since been transferred to an unknown location.

The foundation added a machine gun was strapped on his back. It claimed he had intended to massacre worshippers during the dawn prayer in a similar way to Baruch Goldstein, who in 1994 opened fire at the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, killing at least 29 people and injuring dozens more.

A systematic policy pursued by the Israeli government was behind frequent assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque, not just efforts by extremist Zionist groups or individuals, the foundation added.

Adnan Al-Husseini, the governor of Al-Qods, said the plot “could not be carried out by a mad man.” He accused rightist Jewish movements of planning the incident.

Tensions have been running high in the region over the past month and the compound has witnessed violent scenes after Israeli extremists, backed by Israel’s police force, tried to enter the mosque and clashed with Palestinian worshippers.Two groups in particular are dedicated to the destruction of Jerusalem’s most sacred Islamic place of worship since the occupation of the city in 1967. They are the militant Bloc of the Faithful or Gush Emunim, led by rabbis including Moshe Levinger; and Ateret Cohanim, a Jewish seminary composed of militant Jewish students and their rabbis.

H1N1 Vaccination: A Eugenics Weapon for “Massive & Targeted Reduction of the World Population.” ??

Warning: Swine Flu Shot Linked to Killer Nerve Disease

A warning that the swine flu vaccine has been linked to a deadly nerve disease has been sent by the UK Government to senior neurologists in a confidential letter.

The letter from the Health Protection Agency, the official body that oversees public health, was leaked to The Daily Mail, leading to demands to know why the information has not been given to the public before the vaccination of millions of people, including children, begins.

It tells the neurologists that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine. GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe, and can be fatal.

The letter refers to the use of a similar swine flu vaccine in the United States in 1976 when:

•More people died from the vaccination than from swine flu
•The vaccine may have increased the risk of contracting GBS by eight times
•The vaccine was withdrawn after just ten weeks when the link with GBS became clear
•The U.S. Government was forced to pay out millions of dollars to those affected

Concerns have already been raised that the new vaccine has not been sufficiently tested and that the effects, especially on children, are unknown.

Rumsfeld's growing stake in Tamiflu

NEW YORK (Fortune) - The prospect of a bird flu outbreak may be panicking people around the globe, but it's proving to be very good news for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other politically connected investors in Gilead Sciences, the California biotech company that owns the rights to Tamiflu, the influenza remedy that's now the most-sought after drug in the world.

Rumsfeld served as Gilead (Research)'s chairman from 1997 until he joined the Bush administration in 2001, and he still holds a Gilead stake valued at between $5 million and $25 million, according to federal financial disclosures filed by Rumsfeld.
 
The forms don't reveal the exact number of shares Rumsfeld owns, but in the past six months fears of a pandemic and the ensuing scramble for Tamiflu have sent Gilead's stock from $35 to $47. That's made the Pentagon chief, already one of the wealthiest members of the Bush cabinet, at least $1 million richer.
